The value of a post in different platforms

in #value8 years ago

I've always found it fascinating the distinctions in value from one platform and the next. I see this from different authors who write a post in Steemit and make either a) couple of cents or B) couple of thousands of dollar. But then repaste that same post in: Facebook, Reddit, and only get a couple of likes and upvotes.

Is it the audience? Is it the platform? Is it the system? Which output has true market value? What generates that difference in "value." My small post is intended to generate a discussion, I would really enjoy hearing your thoughts and perspective on this topic. Thank you. And as always Steem on!

Currently there is a network of key investors on steemit that decide over the value of a post/author. @ats-david has made a thorough analysis. The question how this will impact the future of steemit. I have only seen capital fleeing the country or organization where an elite takes over the control and starts gaming the system.

You're referring to Project Curie right? RobinhoodWhale? And pretty sure many others that are attempting to improve the valuation system. I like the concept very much.

My question stems from say the value of a whale in Steemit, versus that same whale in Facebook. What generates that difference, is it the ecosystem or the audience or what other input?
