Changes in Time
One year ago, my Steem holdings had a much higher dollar value. With the current price around 35 cents, 2018 has been a disaster of sorts. The good news is I no longer must teach my children to access my account. They would not be motivated to retain these low values. The hoops required to convert my cryptos to dollars are overly complex.
Time changes things. Life curves.
Bitcoin has also had a difficult year. What was over $20,000 a year ago is now $3,900.
So it will be interesting to see which cryptos will perform best going forward. I am betting that Bitcoin will lead the way in the next few months. Bitcoin has the most visible reputation.
Time will tell as markets move. I am still betting against the dollar and other fiat currencies. The fiat currencies have little chance to retain value.
For value retention over time, physical Silver is my favorite. For asset growth, Bitcoin and other cryptos have my vote.
Here is today’s beauty.
What they did to cryptos over the past year shows me that cryptos are not much different then paper silver and gold. That is why I say have silver and gold in your hands.
