New Proposed Icon for boats-xkcd

This is my new proposed icon design for the android application "Boats", designed using Adobe Illustrator. The features of this app is right down below:

Boats is a comic reader app available for android. Great for reading xkcd for free and boasts dark themes for those who are into a low light/dark themed comic viewer. App can also be used offline for greater flexibility for users.

Design Concept:
The idea was to create a simple and modern logo design. I based the icon on a boat and turned the sail into a comic/book design to suit the app name and make it a more sensible app design language.

Benefits / Improvements
Design is cleaner and modern and brings a fresh look to the Boats brand. It is much easier for the eyes compared to the current logo. Color scheme has been updated to to make the icon eye catchy.

I used Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 version for both design and presentation. Here are some screenshots for proof of works.
