How to listen to Online Radio using VLC
Hello everyone!
I am back again today to share to you guys what I just discovered today! I thought I have already knew all the things about vlc but to my surprise, I was very wrong. There are many functions that VLC can do that I didn't know about and I'm sure that many of you also don't know about this stuff, so let me share it to you guys, this another handy feature that vlc provides us. Especially to the ones who often listens to the radio.
Did you know that you can actually listen to the radio online using your VLC media player? I bet you didn't know the same as I did. I was shock when I first heard about it and also the best part of it is that it can stream a lot of radio stations worldwide! Yes! it's ridiculously good. I even found my local radio stations there. I always liked listening to the radio that's why I was very happy to know about this feature and I know a lot of you guys like to listen to the radio, so I'm hoping that this tutorial will help you listen to your favorite radio station.
How to listen to Online Radio
I assume that you have already installed the VLC media player to your pc. Now, kindly open it by double clicking the icon of VLC.
After you have opened it, go to View > **Playlist **
Now, once you clicked the Playlist, it will take you to your playlist window. Here you can select the files that you want to watch/listen or play the playlist that you have saved.
Now, press and hold the slider then drag it downward to scroll. This will take you to the Internet section, where you can listen to your favorite radio stations.
There is also a podcast here, so if you have subscribe to a podcast channel you can listen/watch it here. Just click on the plus icon that is right beside the Podcast. This will ask you for a link of the podcast that you want to subscribe to. But, I don't have any subscriptions to any podcast nor do I want to subscribe as of now, so I will leave it there so you could use it.
Now, back to our online radio. Please click on iCast Radio Directory, after clicking it VLC will display all its online radio stations. It has a lot of radio stations available for you to listen.
If you want to listen to your local radio station, just go to the search bar then type in the location of your place or the name of the radio station that you want to listen to.
This are the radio stations available in my province.
You can listen to the radio station that you want by double clicking the name of that radio station.
You are now listening to your favorite radio station live with vlc media player.

I really love listening to the radio, it's what energizes me and some kind of positive vibe. But finding a good radio station is sometimes difficult.
