My Icon/Logo Design Proposal for PLAID
My Logo
Details
PLAID is an App which showcase material design and it pulls inspiration and news from Product Hunt, Dribble and Designer News. The App demonstrates the use of material principles to create bold, tactile and understandable UIs. I decided to make a new logo design which will best complement the App. I hope you like it.
I combined the letter "P" and the plaid pattern to give the logo it's literal meaning.
Benefits / Improvements
The previous logo failed to communicate what the App was about. At first sight, you might think it's a fashion related App. But with the new design, the logo is clean, simple and goes straight to the point. It communicates the name of the App without confusing users at first glance.

Your contribution cannot be approved because it does not follow the Utopian Rules.
Any type of graphics submissions is acceptable only if it was explicitly requested by the project owner or if the contributor can provide a clear proof that their submission has been accepted and used in the project.
Logos must be delivered in a vector file (e.g. .eps/.svg/.pdf) for flexibility and scalability, as well as .png file format for immediate use of the logo.
No benefits, many missing files..
I don't think they named their app after fabric, it's likely because of their interface.
It would be better if you followed Material Design Guidelines as they are it would be more related to application.
