Can not change filename on SDcard on android system 4.4.4

Expected behavior

User can change filename at Sdcard location

Actual behavior

When making file name changes can not work

How to reproduce

  • Download the Application in f droid
  • Open App
  • Go to SD Card location
  • Please select the file you want to rename
  • Please Change filename
  • Oi filemanager 2.2.3 ( New Version )
  • Operating 4.4.4
  • Device Samsung

    This is most likely an issue of Android KitKat. It had issues with SD cards and permissions.

    Thank you for your visit.
    I just want to tell, Permissions and errors on sd card does not exist. I have checked several times. I guess this is really a bug.

      The writing permissions on SD card were restricted in Android KitKat. There is also a link in the GitHub repository.

      You could do a research as there are some methods how to "fix" the problem. The error within app has been handled as intended.
