Vehicle editing in Librecad
Problem: Tools section in this program is a bit different than the usual. To select “Ellipse Arc” tool, you need to enter to curve symbol segment that is different than ellipse symbol. This causes confusion. When I first started to use this program, I looked for this property under the tool with ellipse symbol. When I located the symbol, I was still directed to ellipse symbol for a while.
Suggestion: My suggestion is to divide all categories based on mathematical properties. Also, Tools should match visual memory.
Advantage:
-Users could adapt program in an easier way
-When categories match visual memory, program will be used easier.
-Quality of the program will increase.
Design:
Shapes should be separated clearly, and categories should be stated clearly. For example, tools like perpendicular bisector and parallel should be included in “line” section. All tools related with ellipse should be collected under ellipse symbol etc.
Conclusion:
LibreCAD will have easy-to-use structure without adaptation period for people who previously used this type of program.
