Am glad that there are wallets for crypto-currencies that are not controlled by one party. And everyone has the option to choose how they wish the wallet to function. Having a Bitcoin wallet open-sourced, gives the users the sense of trust and thus increasing its credibility.
We have one such wallet which is open-sourced I'm here to guide you towards it.

Meet CoPay

Copay is an open-sourced Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash Wallet. It is really simple and convenient to use as a first-time user.

Downloading the Application:

The application is available for all the platforms, from Android to windows to chrome. But we shall have this tutorial for the Mobile Application. (It's the same for Android and IOS)

In order to download the mobile app, you can visit Here and chose your Devices.

Once downloaded, you can move to the next step.

Installing the app (Walk through)

It's very easy to install the app. We have done it many times. But I'll walk you through to some of the essential steps that you cannot ignore while making a wallet.

Step 1: Click "Get started"

Step 2:

You'll receive some information that you can "Skip". Than you'll be asked to confirm to their terms and conditions that you can confirm and finish.

Step 3: You will be asked to added your email id (Optional). This is just to keep you updated on their development. "Skip if unwilling to add".

Back up your wallet: (Important of all)

Backing up your wallet is very important that will assure you that you don't loose you money. Keep those backup phrase in some secure place and don't loose it.

Adding Bitcoin:

In order to add bitcoin, Simply click "Receive" as shown in the picture and you'll have your BTC address. You can Generate new address if you wished to. I do not have any btc in the wallet right now. Feel free to donate me... :P

Changing the fees for faster transaction:

You can change the transaction fees so that you can send the transactions faster. In order to do that, go to "Stetting", than click on "Bitcoin network fee Policy" than change from different options. For fastest transaction, Click "Urgent" and as follows.

Adding Bitcoin Cash wallet and more wallets.

The app lets you add more than one address or accounts in one app. You can add multiples of Bitcoin account of Bitcoin cash account.
In order to do so, In home tab, click on the + on the top right. Than you'll have options ranging from "New personal wallet", "Create shared wallet" (for Couples :P) and Joint shared wallet.
Click on "New personal wallet" or as you desire.
Than you'll be asked to either create btc wallet of Bitcoin cash wallet. "Click bitcoin cash if you want to add BCH".

Guess what:

It also lets you buy Amazon gift cards with bitcoin. Just see at the bottom of the homepage.
