Hi, I found this issue 38952 is the same as what you described here, and if you scroll down you will find jrieken's comments
still not good steps by my I am confident is this #32201. closing as dupe
So I believe, this has been raised and VS Code is still fixing it..
Correct me if I am wrong, I currently set this to 'pending'

No they didn't fix it. and didn't raised they consider it as duplicated. but they are wrong.

He missed close the case. I'm going to report that bug again to the vscode staff. also I'm going to prove that to them by using older versions.
The bug is still apparent in recent releases.
Can you include another gif, from this older version where it is working? When your post get's accepted, it will be automatically open a new issue on GitHub.
