Introduction

What is Maps.Me?

Maps.me is an open source project that focuses on maps and navigating without any need of the internet connection. You can download the relevant maps on your technological device and you can just use it without any internet connection. It is using openstreetmap as a source to create maps and navigations.

Why Maps.Me?

Maps.Me is a must application i think. Because even in the big cities or metropolitan cities there is some corners that the cellular data or wireless data cannot be reachable. So, even if you need to reach somewhere without any internet connection, it will be useful. Even if, people can use it fort he local transportation, it is more useful when you are abroad in my opinion. It saves a lot of data usage and battery life since it is not using any data connection like other maps applications.

I used a socialmedia platform which is Facebook is one of the most famous socialmedia platforms. Therefore I promote open source projects through Facebook. Thus you can see my promotion from these links. Here is my facebook links;

Audience

According to my tags, facebook gives me 88.000.000 potential reach number. Also I choosed all men and women that their ages between 18-65 in the Africa. Maps.Me can be very useful solution for African people since there is still some places there is no internet. So i tried to promote African people about Maps.Me.

Activity

As an activity I used Facebook. Thus I promote my open source Project from Facebook with a page. With this page I promote open source Project through Facebook ads. I shared a post from Facebook page that as you can see below;

Results

For this promotion I spent 15.34 TL. Thus I reached 5.670 people with these ads. Reaching people I got 315 link clicks, 3 other clicks and 1 likes,shares&comments. You can see as a photograph below;
