EXPAND RAM SIZE WITH PENDRIVE
Hello lovely people, how are we all? Hope the new year is treating you right. For some of us, only our calenders have changed. Everything else seems to be the same but we are still hopeful.
Today I would like us to talk about how to expand your memory using a pendrive. Do you wish for a bigger ram but can not afford to buy an upgrade? Do you have a spare pendrive you barely use because of your external hard drive? Then you can use your pendrive to increase your memory size quiet easy.
Let's talk about how it's done.
Plug your Pendrive in your USB port. Please don't leave any important document on the pendrive.
Open “My Computer” and Right click on the USB which you want to use as RAM.
Select “Properties” (the last option) from the drop down menu.
A new window will open select “Ready Boost” Tab from there. And tick on the “Use this device” button.
Select the amount of space which you want to use for RAM.
When done, click onto the “Apply” button and then on the “OK” button.
That’s it you have successfully used your USB (Pen drive) as a virtual memory (RAM) for your computer.

This RUINS the drive very fast and is not really worth it imo. :(
You dont need to use always...only when needed
I did it for a while on an old laptop the drive got fried.
Maybe the drive was old. Or the specs of the laptop didnt match the drive.
@fredkese this is informative and educative post, I will try it and see how it works
Do lemme know when you try. And thanks for passing by
