While the steps you provided were easy to follow, the actual and expected behaviors you described were mixed up. Please try to place the correct description with the correct header in future contributions. I see the PO has promised to give the issue a thorough look to ascertain the cause of the bug.

A logcat would have gone a long way in helping the PO figure where in the app the crash occurred. You should try including this in future reports.
