Provide proof of account ownership via Keybase
Since the contributors (especially developers) are required to provide a proof that they own a given GitHub account, I'm thinking - why not do it via Keybase?
Keybase already provides a way of proving ownership of a GitHub account, via a signed message in a Gist. There would be two ways I see that this could be extended to the Utopian account:
- Keybase developers could be asked to add a field for a Steemit/Utopian account, which would put this proof in one place with proofs for other accounts.
- Utopian could add a profile field for a signed message of pre-determined format. This could then be used to verify the Keybase account, and, by extension, the GitHub account.
Using cryptography seems like a more appropriate way than the currently suggested way of posting a screenshot of a logged in session.
I'll be glad to hear some feedback about this idea! :)

There will be no need for that:
people will be able to register directly with github account via oauth2
Well, looks like "sync with github" is also enough since it needs your github account authenticated. It just needs to be a required step.
Currently we have the possibility of linking the account to GitHub and it doesn't seem to be sufficient, so to be honest I don't really see how that will be much different - although I agree that this probably should be a sufficient proof of ownership.
I wanted to suggest an alternative in case it would be simpler to implement.
Thank you for the contribution. It has been approved.
