How to create a Utopian Visibility task request

As requested and promised in my last #iamutopian post, here's my guide to creating a visibility task request. Much like in my previous post, I'm going to do this by creating a fake task request. And I'm going to do it for Byteball, because they (specifically, @punqtured) are the ones who expressed an interest. The template for TRs is a bit generic, so I'm not using it. Instead, I'm using this post by category manager @techslut as my template.

Details

Most "events" are short lived. Byteball's Use-a-thon was a month long, and actually could have used at TR such as this, but in this example, the thing I'm promoting is Byteball itself. I took some of this from their website, and added the goal.

Byteball is a cryptocurrency platform ready for real world adoption, offering unbreachable contracts, user controlled identity, payments that can easily be sent over any network, and easy to develop apps that connect all of the above. It is built on scalable DAG-based technology, and is fully functional today. We want more people to know about us, and this task is about getting that done.

Campaign Strategy

Here, I want people who take up the task to do so in the manner they are most qualified to do. Therefore, I'm going to give marketers a reasonable amount of freedom, much like in the post I'm shamelessly stealing from. I've made some specific adaptations for Byteball, adding mobile as a platform, for instance.

Channels

This is almost entirely identical to the template post. This one is really up to the POs, as they know their prospective audience best. I do think this is a good strategy for most, however.

With a great selection of materials, and assets to use, you can feel free to use any advertising platform you choose - Google Ads, Bing! Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit or any other ad exchange or service.

Campaign Goal

This is entirely identical to the template post. But if you're using this tutorial, make sure to think of the goal that works best for you.

Although the goal of this campaign is creating awareness and reaching the maximal number of relevant users, performance should be measured with click-throughs as the people who click through to read more are an indication of accurate targeting and messaging.

Demographics

While Byteball has multiple translation projects happening, none of them is complete, so not changing the language. The demographics are, obviously, nearly identical, as both posts are about promoting cryptocurrencies.

English speakers in countries where cryptocurrency trading is legal
Ages: Legally allowed to trade cryptocurrency
Platforms: Desktop and mobile
Audience behaviors and properties: Active cryptocurrency traders, followers of related blogs, users of trading platforms that offer a market for Byteball, etc.

General thoughts

A visibility campaign is a very flexible tool. Essentially, we're underwriting - partially or fully - the campaign you want to create. We're here to help, which is kinda our whole entire deal, but you need to know what you want to achieve in any given campaign. If you copy and paste this task request for a campaign to promote something that isn't related to cryptocurrencies, for instance, it is probably not going to work out great for you. Have your general idea for the task and goals, and then come to us. As I've written before, you won't find a sharper marketing mind than @techslut anywhere on this blockchain. And helping you with this is literally part of her job! It's also part of mine, but I know way less.
