In this post, I will share a photography tips. There are so many photography techniques that we can learn, of course all very interesting. especially for you who like photography. This is my first tutorial on steemit ,, i will share a simple technique of Light Painting photography..

What is light painting photography?

Light painting photography is one of the photography techniques by utilizing slow shutter speed to record light traces to resemble a shape that we want.

Tools

• Camera
Use camera with manual exposure setting, you can use DSLR camera, Mirrorless or Camera poket.
• Tripod
Use a tripod to keep photos from shaking, Tripod is helpful to get great photos.

Steps of Light Painting

1. Camera Settings in Manual Exposure Mode
Manual mode aims so that we can freely set the Shutter speed and Aperture according to our wishes.

2. Set the slow Shutter Speed
Set your camera's shutter speed in 10-30 seconds, adjust it with the image you want to make. If you want to paint more complex patterns use a longer shutter speed. The success of Light Painting very determined at this shutter speed setting.

If the required shutter speed is more than 30 seconds, you can use Bulb mode. Keep in mind, if you use the longer shutter speed then resulting image will be brighter.

3. Set the Aperture
Aperture is the aperture of the diaphragm on the lens, so that the resulting image sharper use f / with a larger number then the lens openings will be smaller. You can use f/8 - f/11 openings for Light Painting.

4. Set ISO
Use ISO 100 for good photo quality and no noise.

5. Set the Timer
Set the timer so that the camera does not shake when it will take pictures. You can set the timer in 2 seconds or more.
