HARD rules broken:

• No benefits over their existing design. Your symbol looks like a notebook more than a book. Their logo works well.

• Text in your logo design is not readable in small sizes.

Suggestion:

• Try to focus on making logo for projects that really need a new logo or don't have any logo yet.
• Don't use any text or detailed tiny shape in your application logo design. If it can not be seen, it does not make sense.
