My AtoZ Inspirations: V - Naval Ravikant, a mastermind to learn new things from every day
NAVAL RAVIKANT
At a time in life when I was forcing myself to romanticize stress and sacrifice, losing myself to obnoxious aims in life and trying to enforce self-acclaimed rules to lead a life, listening to Naval's intuitive talks helped me liberate myself from the chain of insecure thoughts that I had built unwillingly.
My understanding of blockchain technology was made so simple by Naval Ravikant. Perhaps, my favorite techno-philosopher, I absolutely admire his thought process in pursuing both philosophical and personal goals. Naval built his way to financial independence. As founder of Angellist, a platform that enables startups to meet angel investors, employers and employees, he helped build a coherent startup ecosystem.
His podcasts and periscopes are a treat to listen to. There is so much knowledge he shares eloquently within the space of an hour or two that is equivalent to reading the summary of multiple books at a time. A good set of books he has read is definitely on my dream list. He is also a futurist as well as a clear thinker who knows concepts at a fundamental level. One can get a lot of mileage off the content in his talks and tweets for a long time.
My life lessons that I have learned from Naval:
- Be a knowledge seeking machine
- Build everything from fundamentals
- There is only one moment - the present
- Be the best of version of me
- Say no to more things
- Work is what you don't like to do and still do. Minimize how much you work.
- Life is a single player game.
- Read, read and read.
