Most people think it's from either Hearthstone or World of Warcraft (P.S. I never played Hearthstone and Deathwing wasn't a thing when I started using this name) it goes back to something like late 2009 and early days of 2010, I was playing ArmA 2 (A Military simulation game) and I was flying a A-10 Thunderbolt (it's a jet) and was bombing enemy encampments. One player in particular said "Hey, insertmyoldnamehere you are a really awesome pilot, you are literally carrying death under your wings." and... that's it.
That's a huge lie. It should've been "you are literally carrying death under your turkey wings", as your name was DeathwingTR. :D
One more thing, Deathwing in Warcraft Lore is older than you think. There are even books about him which even predates WoW itself.
"Death Metal and Chicken Wings" sounds like a great name for an album.
