How to apply US non-immigrant visa B1/B2

Its a 5 step process and has to be done by the applicant using Travel agent in not recommended

1- Fill DS 160 form
2- Fill the appointment form

1. Pay the fee voucher generated from the appointment website
2. Make an appointment
3. Appear for interview at KHI or ISB consulate.

• One form is for 01 applicant, if you are traveling with family provide information in traveling with family section.

Step 1
No Agents can help you do it yourself its too simple..
Go to website and fill an online DS-160 Form.

Keep the following information Handy:

• Travel details of past 5 Years (can find on your passport entry and exit stamps)
• Educational details School, College University Information Dates
  Personal Details Father DOB, Mother DOB etc.
• Family information
• Scan Picture with White Background. Latest picture is recommended (People are returned and asked for taking a new appointment if the pic does not match the current personality)
• If you got a US Visa before need visa information.

Once you complete the form and submit a * Confirmation Number* will be generated.

Step-2
Have your DS-160 Case Number Handy
Go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/
Create a new account (just like any email account)

• The email address and phone number will your primary contact.
• Fill the form with all your information.
• If applying with family add family members.
• Once you have completed the step by step process depending on number of applicants a Bank voucher will be generated once completed.
• Each applicant is charged @PKR 16500

Step-3

• Head to nearest Allied Bank branch and Pay the bank voucher.
• You have to specify your NIC on the voucher which will become your ID for payment.
• Once you pay the voucher at day end once the bank runs its day end activity your payment will be realized by US Visa services and at 9:00 am next morning and your payment will show in your profile which you created in Step 2.
• Now you are ready to take your appointment online.

Step-4

• Go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/ and login to your appointment online as per your convenience.
• Click schedule appointment tab and enter your payment reference
• That’s the NIC your specified on the Bank voucher in STEP 3.
• Be at the US embassy 45 min before time, as security check takes a lot of time.

• Remember the appointment time is only for entry into the embassy. once you cross the security its first come first serve.
  Step-5
  Once you reach embassy you will be checked by the security

• Now you will go to the first counter where you will present your passport for Bar Code pasting
• Head to Finger Printing Counter and Photo verification.
• You will now appear for the interview.
• The visa interviewer will inform you right there about approval or rejection of your visa and also for the any administrative Processing.

• Some applicants will be subject to additional screening / administrative processing this can take 2 weeks to 1.5 years for issuance of visa.

• If you are NOT subject to administrative processing you will receive an email / SMS from US Travel Docs (American Express) for collection of passport from their office.
• Usually you receive your passport back within 1 to 3 working days depending on the load at US embassy.
