High income gains during US expansions

Income gains during U.S. expansions have increasingly gone to the rich, as shown in the chart below (orange shows gains for bottom 90 percent, gray shows gains for top 10 percent). So what are Trump and the Republicans doing now? Giving a huge tax windfall to the rich and to the corporations they own. Why? Because the rich and their corporations donate huge amounts to Trump and the Republicans.

This is not sustainable, friends. As Justice Louis Brandeis said, "we can have democracy in this country or we can have great wealth in the hands of a few, but we cannot have both."
