All government spending are jobs programs.

The US increased military spending for FY 2024 from $857.9B to $886B. This ~$30B increase is approximately as much as the total of military aid to Ukraine in 2022 and 2023 combined.

I can’t wait to hear more bullshit excuses about why we can’t afford to end this war.

We choose to spend that money (and allocate those same jobs) on a worthless bloated military, rather than ending a war that has cost hundreds of thousands (approaching a million) of lives, while elevating one of the world’s most hostile governments, emboldening dictators around the world, handicapping international trade, and dismantling America’s standing in the world.

All to please an electorate which believes that $30B for Ukraine is more expensive than $900B for nothing.
