This is such an excellent piece, Ben. The way you tied it in with the social contract was on point. I wish I was a whale so I could give it the high $ vote it deserves. I remember reading this story in college and it had a tremendous impact on me, too. It always stuck with me. I still have the essay I wrote on it somewhere in a flash drive.

I'm so glad to have found my tribe here in Chile. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
