Unsung Heroes: The Heart of a Man for the Plantation Workers

Meet Joseph, despite of his stature, he is a gentle giant who has a big heart for the struggling Tamil speaking community in the district of Dengkil, where most of these hardcore families are plantation workers, and hardly any of them own their own land.

He under shepherds a satellite outreach church in Dengkil from Glad Tidings Assembly of God, together with his supportive wife, he continuously speaks the love of God to those who struggles and wonder if good will ever come to their families, breaking out from the curse of poverty.

He doesn’t come from a “have it all” surrounding either; yet because of that, he could resonate and understand the under privileged families’ struggles.

With the generosity of the congregation of Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya, public donors and business distributors during Christmas Giving event, Pastor Joseph managed to feed his congregation and gave Christmas packs to 15 families who are truly in need of that special little miracle.

Sometimes we take for granted that items we bought as simple as a bottle of shampoo, a jar or peanut butter and jelly, a pack of all purpose baked flour, a rack of eggs is just some daily needs; but many families who are hardcore stricken sometimes only have rice and some sauce to get by.

Therefore we are truly grateful for everyone who has been partnering with us, be it being a regular reader and a supporter in Steemit or even those who swing by to drop off some food after a grocery shopping. Every small thing you have contributed makes huge difference to many who are yet to experience overflowing abundance.

We truly pray and hope, that when families, especially children are well fed in their stomach, and with spiritual food of assurance of God fed by big hearts like pastor Joseph, these families will be able to have a rest from their mundane worries and concentrate what is important: stepping forward and steeping out of their predicament, and step into better possibilities of chance of life with creativity and clarity, nurturing their young to be better people of the future, braving out facing this falling apart world.
