Small Businesse Stepped up to Assistance During COVID-19 Outbreak

Meet Mr. Yeap from KE Yeap Trading, one of the business owners who knew although COVID-19 has no doubt effected the business flow and dealings, chose to donate 100 chicken in order to help the at least 5 centers, under privileged families and refugee that could last them 2 weeks with healthy protein during the extended Movement Control Order with tighter controls with further road closures in order to contain the outbreak and flatten the curve.

All the way from Puchong wet market, Mr. Yeap prepared the chickens freshly slaughtered early in the morning before personally delivered to the vans that respectively ships to children’s home, senior heritage home, drug rehab centers and hard core poor families; along with storing some at the Food Bank until the Food Bank team that was in charge of sending the freshly prepped chickens out to the refugee camps that are now stuck in Malaysia with nowhere to go and no food supplies to acquire.

By late afternoon, all the centers received their chicken supply.

The Food Bank team along with the Director of Life Community Service brave their way through to the allocated community space where the refugees are and passed them the chicken along with some extra peanut butter and jam, eggs, plant based milk, oil, in hope that this will be able to help them to survive another 2 weeks during this lockdown.

We are truly grateful for all these businesses like LK Fresh Eggs, KE Yeap Trading, Lady’s Choice and A2 Milk Marketing Sdn Bhd for stepping up to help despite of economy challenges during this crisis.

Through all this exercise a verse clearly came to me:
