THE 7WONDERS OF THE WORLD IN 7DAYS

Soul-captivating,eye-catching are the many works of art born by nature,but the 7wonders of the world goes beyond the sights and could be life-changing and inspiring in speechless ways to the tourist.Many works of art have existed from time immemorial,but these ones eludes the human comprehension be it in their positioning,their massiveness and the nostalgia
they induce in the mind.

   DAY 1: VICTORIA FALLS(ZAMBIA/ZIMBABWE)

Having its source from the Zambezi River and stretching a whooping 1.7km wide between the borders of Zambia and Zimbabwe,lies the Victoria waterfalls which has the local name Mosi-oa-tunya meaning "THE THUNDER THAT SMOKES".
Rising to an overwhelming heights of 108metres of cleft,the sprays of the Mosi-oa-tunya could be seen even 50kilometres away from the waterfall.

On 16th November 1855,a scottish missionary and explorer,David Livingstone viewed the Victoria falls from what is today the "Livingstone Island".
Livingstone named his discovery in honour of Queen Victoria of Britain but despite that the indigenous Tonga name "mosi-oa-tunya" is officially recognised in the World Heritage List.The Vicoria Falls despite not being the worlds heighest nor widest waterfall,is considered the largest due to its combined 1.7km width and 108metres height and is only rivaled by
Brazil and Argentinas Iguazu Falls.It is twice the height of North Americas Niagara falls in Ontario Canada let alone the Horseshoe Falls.

Well,these are natural facts but what is it that makes the Victoria Falls a wonder to behold?

*The Victoria falls has a steady infinite rainbow due to its perfect positioning and a Moonbow(a rainbow formed from the reflection of moonlight on water)making the rainbow visible at night.

*With roughly 600cubic litres of water hitting the ground every minute,the gushing noise from this waterfall could be deafening.

*The gaint spray from the falls makes the River Zambezi rain forest the only place that recieves rainfall 24hours per day and 7days a week.

*During the months of september to december,at a spot at the plunge of the falls,tourists enjoy toying and bathing at the "devils pool" despite the risk of plunging over.

*The Victoria waterfall seems to dissect the river Zambezi almost by two.It sits halfway of the 1677miles away from the source.

*Without the Zambezi river the falls would not exist and this river stretches through a whooping 6 countries including Botswana,Mozambique,Zimbabwe,Namibia,Zambia and Angola.

*After the Victoria falls,lies 5 gorges of the water outflow where the second gorge carves out a deep pool called the boiling pot which is marked by vigorous but slow swirls with heavy boiling turbulence.Objects and humans swept over the plunge are usually found at this point.

All these facts and history of the Victoria Falls makes it undoubtedly one of the WONDERS OF THE WORLD.
