The last journey

in #universe7 years ago (edited)

Well, it might sound weird but out there on Earth people are thinking about last wishes as dead is approaching.
Since always, we, the dreamers, had crazy thoughts and wishes and one of it is going out of space. Not all of us are astronauts and realities as Star Trek trips are far away. Today I was watching an episode of ancient aliens and they were talking about lot of ancient cultures preparing their tombs for the last journey after dead... returning into out of space. After so many years and such a big gap between ancient and nowadays, it seems people still want to go home after dead. It sounds crazy to you? We are made by stardust, so I find the option to return between stars after dead a dream come true. There are lots of memorial space flights companies that offers a great service to people like me wanting to be free after dead. Celestis is one of them... https://www.celestis.com/
You can choose were you want your ashes to be released, I personally prefer deep out of space as I find Earth full of greedy and self destructive people and I prefer to experience my eternity far far away from here. This space flight I'm talking about is named voyager with a starting price of $12500 and, for me, is worth every penny. And they have an app that permits families to know exactly where you are.
"The inaugural Celestis Voyager Service carries on a deep space voyage of tribute Star Trek’s Gene and Majel Barrett Roddenberry and others from around the world.
AN INFINITE VOYAGE
As humans continue to reach out to explore and, eventually, to settle the solar system and beyond, it is entirely appropriate that our celebrations, rituals, and memorials accompany us.
For many, the notion of a final voyage in space - permanently traversing the cosmos - offers the most appropriate memorial for a life devoted to exploration, adventure, and cosmic awareness.
The Celestis Voyager Service launches a symbolic portion of cremated remains or a DNA sample into deep space, leaving the Earth-Moon system on an infinite journey.
A NEW HORIZON FOR HUMANITY
Until now, only the NASA New Horizons mission has provided a deep space memorial service in the Voyager class. A symbolic portion of the cremated remains of Pluto discoverer Clyde Tombaugh is on the New Horizons spacecraft as it leaves the solar system.
With the Celestis Voyager Service, people everywhere can follow NASA’s example of honoring the departed with a mission to deep space."
And here is a video about this services.

What do you think about this type of endings or beginnings as we never know what's next? I, personally, will never accept to stay forever into a box... and I find a space flight like this even cheap...
NEVER STOP DREAMING!
