The only thing that keeps me on Steemit is the other kinds of value... namely, being able to consume news and content that speaks freely without significant censorship (for now).

The "monetary" reward value here (so far) is worse than low... it's insultingly bad.

If things are to change, more people will need to find OTHER value in addition to the "monetary" reward... which, like a slot machine, makes for horribly bad game-play for anyone not hopelessly addicted to gambling.

I actually ignore Steemit for longer intervals when the only posts are about Steem (although, to be honest, once in a blue moon I read some of those too).
