Understanding Memory - How it is effected by Sugar

in #understanding4 years ago

Understanding Memory and the Role of the Mullah is not difficult if you understand its complexities. There are many definitions and classifications of memory systems, and they are all rooted in the brain's functions. However, a definition of memory is as follows: "The ability to remember, retain, and analyze information". In other words, memory serves important functions in our lives, and we need it to survive. The human brain is one of the most complex brains in the world, and this complexity is reflected in its structure.

Most people know that each of us is born with a certain amount of memory, but the actual definition of memory is more complex than that. Memory is actually a process and memory systems develop throughout life. Babies have no memory, yet their brains grow, adapt, and consolidate. Similarly, adult brains grow and adapt, but it is much more complicated than that.

Brain development through the childhood years, or neurogenic stage, is highly complex. During this period, brain plasticity is at its greatest level, and it allows the human mind to adapt quickly to changes and stimuli. This is when the brain actually starts developing and improving. With the increase of memory capacity, however, comes the increase of both protein and sugar levels within the brain. As a result, there is an increased need for both sugar and protein.

It seems strange that increased sugar levels would play such a key role in human memory improvement, but the reason is rather obvious. Since glucose is used almost exclusively as a fuel source for the brain, it is used more and produces more energy than glucose does. As a result, the brain actually uses more sugar than it normally would, resulting in an overall higher demand for the brain's glucose supply.

Sugar also regulates mood and behavior. Indeed, studies have shown that those who have lower blood sugar have a different personality than those with higher blood sugar levels. Scientists have also linked low sugar to ADHD and other behavioral disorders. The correlation between low sugar and depression is well-known, as well. Low sugar can also lead to higher rates of heart disease and cancer, so taking care of the brain directly by eating healthy foods is a great way to reduce your risk of these diseases. There are many types of natural, organic sugar alternatives that you can buy in stores or online.

As humans, we are always craving that sugary, crave-worthy sugar high. However, since the body can only handle a certain amount of sugar at one time, eventually that limit is exceeded, causing the brain to switch to using fat as a form of energy. What happens next is that fat is converted to brain tissue. This process occurs until the person reaches his or her fat-free weight, at which point dieters are encouraged to start eating more fruits and vegetables. By keeping the brain active and sugar supply stable, long-term dietary intake of fruit and vegetables can reduce the risk of developing diseases like Alzheimer's and diabetes.

Because sugar is also an addictive substance, it can also have negative effects on the brain. People who use sugar substitutes when they are hungry find that the cravings usually return immediately because, in essence, the brain is hungry again. Many researchers also believe that the constant exposure to sugar causes the brain to release excess amounts of dopamine, which is one of the chemicals associated with memory loss, attention, and mood.

While it may seem hard to understand, understanding memory can be accomplished if you just remember to eat right. Even though there are many different types of sugar, it is still glucose. Your body needs it for energy, so do not let the television, movies, or sugary foods affect your brain's need for glucose. Eat healthy foods instead, and make sure you get plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables every day. You can also take small amounts of supplemental glucose through supplements. If you want to take a closer look at your diet, do a little research online and you might find some great tips and tricks that you can use to improve your understanding memory.
