Saturday spent in BOVEC (Soca Valley), SLOVENIA
Hello everybody!
Last Saturday was sunny and hot. It was a perfect day to spend outside. We decided to go to Bovec (Slovenia), which is around 35 kilometres away. Personally I believe Bovec is the most beautiful little ''town'' in Slovenia. It has gorgeous nature around it and it is really good located, even if it's on the edge of the country.
Bovec is visited by the tourists because of beautiful nature and Soca river. There are many things you can do here. For those who love water sports there is rafting, kayaking, canyoning and so on. For the most courageous people there is skydiving, zip-line and parachute jump. Nature around Bovec is suitable for hiking, cycling and fishing. In Bovec there is also golf course. In winter you can go skiing on Kanin.
Now let's get back to our Saturday. We went on alpine airfield near Bovec. I already told you it was a very sunny day. We were lying on the grass and catching sunrays. We were watching gliders and paragliders. I was daydreaming and I quickly became sad because I wanted to be like them. Friends put ice cream before me and I was happy child again! :)

Lovely photos. Didn't know Slovenia had such beautiful mountain ranges.
Slovenia has a little of everything - mountains, sea, Pannonian plain, etc. The highest mountains is Triglav with 2863 meters. On the photo you can see Mount Svinjak which is 1653 meters high. Mountains are not high but beautiful because of the view and nature. :)

Yes, it was a day well spent even if we didn't do anything productive. I know Bovec very well and airfield is my favourite spot. Slovenia really is a beautiful country and has a lot of things to do, see and visit. In future I intent to present places in Slovenia that are worth a visit. I hope someone might take my recommendation and enjoy in nature just like I do. :)
I'm making notes of all the places In Slovenia I come across in posts @aramat12. So I will be interested to see your suggestions. 😊
Okay, I'll do my best to present you Slovenia through my eyes as I see it and not by online commercials from tourist agencies. Make notes and I guarantee you, your trip here will be unforgetable. :D

May I make a suggestion. Get a profile picture up as soon as possible. There are many spam accounts these days and one of the ways people identify them is accounts with lower reputations and not profile or cover photograph.
You could put up a love photo of Slovenia for example.
Also add a short description. Maybe something about how you'll be showing off the real Slovenia. 😁
