We are made of steel

They thought they will stop us with their side-talks. They made snide comments about us thinking we would cower.
They even went as far as saying things about us that were not true just to bring us down.
But what they never realised was that we are not ordinary people.
That though we may look ordinary, walk ordinary, smell ordinary, but our hearts are made of steel.
And that was why in the midst of all odds and in the midst of all the attacks, we still looked them in the face and said to them:
"Do your worst, for we are made of steel."
But that doesn't mean we never cried sometimes.
That doesn't mean we've not fallen on some occasions.
But what it means is that for every single time we cried those tears, we also wiped them away.
And for every single moment we fell, we also got back on our feet.
Look at us today, we are still standing. They thought we would be dead by now, but we are still here.
They thought we would have given up on our dreams, but we are still here chasing down dreams.
Oh look at us today, we are still standing.
Yes crying, but still standing.
Yes shaking, but still standing.
Yes sweating, but still standing.
We don't know where the money is going to come from, but we are still standing.
We don't know whether they will say yes to our proposal, but we are still standing.
We don't know whether they will call us for the interview, but we are still standing.
We don't know whether the visa will be granted to us, but we are still standing.
We don't know whether we are going to have the baby or not, but we are still standing.
We don't know whether we are going to survive this tragedy, but we are still standing.
And guess what? Irrespective of what happens, we would still be standing.
And do you know why?
Because we are made of Steel. We are Steel, and so still we stand.
