IT FELL! : SUNSHINE AND RAIN

When I was going to Abuja, Everyone told me to pack a cardigan/pull-over. No one told me to carry an A. C, so imagine my chagrin when after a few weeks of cool welcome, the story began to change like that of an abusive husband.
The sun seemed to attain it's highest degree, I can almost hear it laughing maniacally like a Lion caught in the traps of a mouse and refuses to give him the satisfaction of a whimper. Even the nights gave no reprieve as the air continued to be warm, like its still smarting from the cruel effects of the sun
The clouds teased us endlessly, turning a dark shade of grey, and then fast receding to the heat warming shade of clear blue. It happened today also, teasing us just as before.
Minutes ago, I sulked up to God, mopping my sweaty face with an already sogged handkerchief, "Father, whatever we did to warrant this heat, please forgive us and turn this sun low! " A passerby turned and laughed, I wonder if it was out of humor or a bleak acceptance of fate, maybe the former.
It was only a few seconds to that prayer, I hadn't even reached my room, when the clouds began their Shady dance again. The hope burned in my eyes, please God, give us rain! Then the winds began, wild and furious, swinging dark hair and lifting skirts up😀.
I swung my eyes upward, a throaty laughter purred out of my throat, as my neck bent backwards and my face lifted up to the hills in gratitude.
Someone remarked, "did you just receive an alert"
I laughed and replied him, simply and truthfully, "No, Just thanking God for the rain "
And here I've come to say "Thank you God, for the Sunshine and the rain!! "
