ULOG #15: What Do We Need to Be Happy?
Hello guys! I am thrilled to post again today. Lately I have been posting about the human emotions and how it affect us. After attending to a Seminar today in Psychology class I have learn so many things about the human nature. So I'm going to share today my reflection on the question
"What do we need to be happy?"
Happiness might just be a simple word but seems people are always trying to achieve total happiness in life. Some factors that are associated with happiness are health, family, friends, money, and love, right?
We cannot deny the fact that sometimes we are thinking of giving up in life when we face hard moments and struggles. Personally, I am also trying to achieve total happiness, but use my mistakes as potential happiness builders and I reflect a lot on it.
Appreciating Life and Accepting the Fact that Life is NOT always easy
They always say that happiness is a choice, right? And I couldn't agree more. We just need to accept the fact that life is not always easy. That's the first thing I guess that we need to consider is that life is always a challenge everyday.
If accept this reality it is easier for us to have a better perspective on life. What I mean by using my mistakes as potential happiness builders is that when we a real faced with adversity and challenges in our life, it makes us appreciate the good thing.
I strongly disagree and believe that perfection means happiness. But when we accept this reality about life, we became more rational and that's one key of happiness. If you're going through a rough time, don't slow down. Head up and don't show it. The best way is to keep going through it with our best possible attitude and in the end.
Knowing our Purpose in Life
Source
Have you ever asked yourself what's your purpose in life? I believe that one of the key things of happiness is knowing the path in course of our life. By having a clear direction to the life we wanted to live with.
Basically we live our entire lives trying to figure out the purpose of our existence, right?. Some of us fail, and some people succeed. When one person knows his or her reason of living , it becomes easier to focus on what matters the most in your life. It gives as direction and passion to do things and that signifies happiness.
Happiness is living is an integral and gratified life. It enables us to live a value-based and are able to take pleasure in living a purpose-driven life. When we know our purpose we begin living positively and start seeking out new opportunities which is just a great view of happiness.
Pursuing Our Passion
I have a passion,i have a dream, but there are things holding me back from pursuing it. That's the common thing for most of us. Happiness is being able to do what you love the most if we muster up the courage, take the leap, and be prepared for it.
A simple things leads to big happiness. Whether it is a childhood dream, newly adopted lifestyle or big ambitions, it is the passion that will push us to reach our goal.
This just show and demonstrates the fundamental qualities of the human character: having purpose, going for it and definitely gives us the most fulfillment in ourselves and basically what gives us the most happiness.

To be honest we don't really need that much to achieve total happiness. It’s just a matter of time we start looking at our entire lives as purposeful and grateful , passion-filled journeys—not opportunities to collect as many possessions as we can to distract ourselves.
Let's also be reminded by small things which really matters like by just being alive and being surrounded with those whom we love, makes us happy everyday. Life is too short to spend it being miserable and sad. Let's remember thatthere are so many ways to achieve happiness and so little time to live everyday to the fullest so we must live everyday like it is our last breath.
Wow! Very well said. Happiness is not a choice but it is when you accept the fact about life's reality and know our own purpose in life. I agree with you. Thank you for sharing. I've leanred a lot.
