Ulog - A Place Where (Possibly) Anything & Everything Can Be Found

Let's sum it all up in one word: Divisoria

Divisoria Market is in Binondo, Manila. Famous for its wide variety of cheap (and sometimes exotic) merchandise, people from nearby provinces often go here to shop. Malls abundant of interesting finds are located near each other. To name a few, these are Divisoria Mall, 168 Shopping Mall, and 999 Shopping Mall. I don't know what's the deal with the numbers but here in Calamba, we have 268 Shopping Center and 578 Market.

Different kinds of beauty products, Chinese & Korean food, clothes, toys, home appliances, gadgets, and all the things you never thought existed actually exist in Divisoria. Some items found on online shopping platforms can be discovered, if one has the patience to walk and search, here. Office supplies, furniture, kitchenware. Basically, anything.

Like I mentioned earlier, everything in Divisoria is cheaper. So my friends and I went here to shop for jersey uniforms which we will be needing for on of our church activities. There were five of us. Before starting the hunt, we decided to start the day with breakfast first. In each mall, a food court can be found, commonly at the third floor. (See, everything is here!) We decided to get Korean food which has a touch of Japanese (I think) since I ordered kimchi ramen.

The Special Spicy Kimchi Ramen was obviously spicy but it wasn't bad. The kim bob(?) my friend actually tasted good, too. Not bad. The dumpling was okay but they could have added something else to make it look nicer. I didn't find the kimchi in my ramen but maybe because I wasn't paying much attention to what I was eating.

The boys were off to find the jerseys. I decided to go somewhere else so we could save time then, I took the other girl with me. She accompanied me while I was searching for polo shirts. Luckily, we found the right shade of blue. It was also cheap so it wasn't hard bargaining with the saleslady. The store where we bought the shirts was also the store we went to when we bought shirts for a speech choir performance.

It was a very productive morning. It was also my first time going to Divisoria and not experiencing such a crowd. The place was actually peaceful and spacious and quiet.

Since Divisoria is also near Chinatown, there are a lot of Chinese decent in the place. I found this beautiful decor while we were on our way back to the parking lot. (Don't mind the guy wearing a white shirt, he's a friend of mine.)
