#ULOG 011: Home is where my heart is. Finally Home.

Home Sweet Home

After some months of being away from home, I can finally smell the fresh air, the warmth of my family and the kisses of my furball pet, Zoey.

I was already so excited since a week ago. Who wouldn't be? It is home sweet home.

Our flight was on Monday, September 10 but before that was our pre-board examination was on Sept. 9. My mind was all over the idea of me going home and finally be in my room and Zoey (my pet) in my arms. We finished the exam as fast as we could (which seemed so funny since we were all just so excited).

When we arrived home, we finalized our preparation and kept our books, which would help us to study at home. We slept a bit so in case we couldn't sleep later on then we would have some energy left.

At night, about 6pm, we started our journey which was a really challenging one since it was raining hard. We rode a motorcycle, and then a jeep going to SM CITY. When we arrived at SM, we had our dinner, bought some snacks then finally went to "my bus" station and started our journey to the airport. I was very excited to be at the airport since my bag was killing me which was very heavy and felt like a tonne of bricks.

When we reached the airport, it wasn't really that crowded especially when we made it inside. There were very few people that we could practically run and play all we wanted inside the airport (which ofcourse we did). We played with the baggage trolley and did all we wanted there. I was equally amazed with their comfort room, where I could just lay a blanket on the floor and sleep (lol). I took lots of selfies inside since the lighting was really good (Don't judge me, I just loved the lighting and ambiance there, LOL).

I tried to sleep on the chair they have there, but I could only sleep for an hour since the chairs were not comfortable at all. There were many different positions I tried but I just couldn’t find a good one for me to catch some sleep, so I just decided to play "farmville" on my mobile (which is my favourite game), and talked to my friends.

We checked in as early as 5:00am. When I got my ticket, I was so amazed because I had got a window seat. At last, for my third time on the plane, I finally got a window seat (lol). After waiting a bit for our flight, we went to line up for a bus that would take us to the plane at almost 7:00am which was earlier than the schedule time.

I was just so amazed by the fact that I was on a window seat. I could see the clouds, water, landscapes and the wonderful aerial view of my flight home, however at the end I was a bit annoyed because the flight only took 30 minutes to reach our destination of Ozamiz city. Even our ride from Punta Princesa to SM City was longer than this (LOL). Nevertheless I was very eager to arrive at my destination since I had told my mother to bring zoey and I just couldn't wait to see how will she react when she sees me after a few months of my absence.

When I met my parents at the airport I assumed zoey would be with them but she was outside since pets weren't allowed inside the airport. Outside the airport when I saw her she got scared. I was so worried she won't recognise me but when I called her many times she finally responded and jump at me and licked my face, barking a lot, a sign she did recognise me. She even peed of happiness (lol, I never even expected that LOL). She was just the sweetest.

My little journey to our house was fascinating, and when I arrived home, I handed over the gifts and food I got for my parents to them before finally retiring to my room. It feels so good to be home, and even though I will just be here for a week, at least I can say, "Finally, I am home."
