#ULOG Recipe(Day 15): Leche Flan | Filipino dessert
Hello steemians, hope you're doing great! Today I will share my simple recipe, a Filipino dessert called "leche flan". It's easy to prepare and taste good! It's a famous dessert in the Philippines usually serve during any occasion. So here are my ingredients and preparation.
Preparation time: 15mins
Cooking time: 35-40mins
Servings: 6 persons
Ingredients:
- 10 eggs
- 397g condensed milk
- 397g evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Preparation:
Gather all the 10 eggs and separate the egg yolks and white. Put in a bowl and add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and mix it gently. To separate the egg yolk, try to use a pet bottle if you don't have egg separator.
Add the condensed milk and evaporated milk. Make sure to mix it well using a whisk, transfer in the other bowl, and use any strainer to make it smoother and make sure no bubbles. Repeat the procedure until you satisfied with the result.
Prepare your pan in a low heat temperature. Then add the sugar, let it melt then stir it constantly until it turns into a caramel.
Prepare your molding pan or any molder available in your kitchen, and pour the caramel in each molder. Pour the leche flan mixture in each molder and cover with aluminum foil.
Prepare your steamer and steam all the mixture for about 35-40 minutes.
After the leche flan is done, remove all from the steamer and let it cool down. Now the leche flan is ready to serve!
Keep calm and stay positive...
