We have visited South Africa twice in the last two years, and every travel has been unique and amazing. As a result, for the first time on the country's tour we have received some valuable information. South Africa is one of our top three favorite countries, just because it fails to influence us does not matter how often we go. However, for the first time passengers did not know what to expect when landing in Johannesburg, Cape Town or other major cities. So we want to make sure that you do not make any common stupid mistakes there. As a result, we have prepared 10 useful tips before traveling to South Africa.

Language:

There are 11 official languages in South Africa, which is a major spinning mix of European and tribal dialects, which spreads the entire spectrum of human toileal capacity. Here's a quick guide to some of the most useful and common words that many South Africans use:
• Howzit?: How is it going, contracted Standard greeting throughout South Africa, and the easiest and most immediate way to show that you are paying attention.
• Braai: barbecue or grill.
• Lekker!: Cool! Nice! Great!

Plugs:

South Africa has different plugs elsewhere in the world. They have three pins with a thick top pin. Be sure to buy an online before entering the country.

Weather:

When most people think of South Africa, they think of hot and dry climate. But during the winter temperatures, cities can be reduced to 0 degree Celsius, and may fall below freezing in the mountainous areas. So make sure you check the weather forecast before going, otherwise you can pack the wrong clothes.

Check the entry requirements:

Dull? Yes. But we are all there. To make sure that you know the sharpest grid entry requirements, you will save a lot of time and stress compared to being ready. But the good news is that, when you make it before the arrival lounge, South Africa offers innumerable unforgettable experiences. From people to landscape and wildlife, you practically guarantee an extraordinary adventure.

Be Sure to Rent a Car for Road Trips:

You must be thinking, there is no way! But honestly, this is the best way to travel across the country. They are very cheap to rent 20 to 30 USD in a day, including insurance. The whole country is full of amazing drives, scenes and nature, it would be silly not to rent the car. We were also amazed at how wonderful it was on the streets! In most cases better than England and Germany.

There’s More Than just Safari:

Dawn organizations that play every shadow of khaki and beige and are closed in open-top 4 × 4 by all means, but be sure to leave the room in their travel schedule for other areas of South Africa. We recommend going to Cape Town for Table Mountain. Which is considered one of the oldest peaks in the world, and deserves to grow on the Cape Peninsula for a unique, captivating vista. The country is also home to the world's second largest waterfall, Tungela Falls and the Bleede River, the third largest dam of the earth.

Safety:

South Africa often ends up in news due to the wrong reasons. We fearfully listen to the high crime rate and the high number of HIV positive people and we think that this is not a safe country in which to travel. In South Africa, it will be silly to dismiss real issues with crime, but smart travelers can enjoy traveling in South Africa without the constant worry of concern. Local people are very friendly and will help you with anything.

Diversity:

This is one of the reasons why we love so much from South Africa. This safari, lively city, skiing, vineyards, with the valley, is so full of variety, the list is still going on. We highly recommend taking a safari in the Klaserie Sands river camp, it was sincerely the most memorable travel experience ever.

Distances:

Some people forget how big South Africa is. It looks smaller than the size of the African continent, though it is the 25th largest country in the world. Be sure to prepare your routes carefully beforehand, because searching South Africa can take months if you want to cover it.

Don’t be Flashy:

To be honest, we have never had any problems with security or crime while traveling. However, there is still a lot of bad reputation for crime and security issues in South Africa, so we recommend keeping expensive jewelry and clothes down to minimum. There is no need to attract unnecessary attention to yourself. Do not flash large amounts of cash in public, because again the thieves will know that you have a lot of privileges and you will be more likely to rob.
