ULOG #1 | Always Be Kind
Hello, guys. It's been a while since I've written, really written, something here on steemit. I'm back for today and I am going to start making ulogs daily. I hope I can keep up with this, though, as I'm a very inconsistent person. I'm only good at starting things, but I'm always pushing myself to do my best to really maintain doing something.
Okay so here goes...
I have been staying at one of my best friend's house since the start of this week. I have always stayed at her house whenever she's back from Cebu because we're just really close like that. I'm very close with her family, hehe. This time, she brought her niece with her (her older brother's daughter) to stay here in Iligan City for a whole month. And I love her niece, we've already bonded last January when I stayed at their house when I went to Cebu for Sinulog.
To make the long story short, we left her niece to spend a week with the other side of her family (her mother's parents). And just this afternoon, we got her niece back. (Haha, I'm talking about her niece like she's just a pet, but you know what I mean.) Her niece's yaya then told us something about how she was treated there.
I know I shouldn't be telling this here publicly but I just needed to share this one to let everybody know that being unkind to someone is never acceptable. Her yaya wasn't allowed to use the bathroom, she wasn't allowed to use a mug to make her afternoon coffee, and worst of all, her yaya wasn't given food to eat when she was at the other family's house. Who does that? WHAT KIND OF PERSON HAS THAT KIND OF ATTITUDE???
I really felt pity towards her yaya. Nobody deserves to be treated that way. If you are a good human being, you will always have the heart to give food to someone who is there to take care of your family, let alone their granddaughter.
When I heard how she said what she said, I really couldn't believe that someone as selfish as them, are still in existence. It was heartbreaking to see how the yaya was really super hungry when they got back home.
My best friend and I thought about the situation over. She thought, what if the yaya was just insinuating lies... But then, I thought, what would the yaya gain if she would lie something about like this?
I just couldn't take it off my mind and so I wrote and shared this story to you guys in my first ulog. I know it's not much about me, this subject just resonates so much with me. Kindness is free. You shouldn't be an ass to anyone. And nobody deserves to be treated that way.
