#Ulog No. 15 TRUE TALK (today in school #10)

OK fellow esteemed steemians.... It feels good to share with you again what happened today in school...

It was on Thursday, the 21st of June 2018. We came to school as always, the pupils were all looking good and fully prepared to learn. After the assembly, we all matched into our respective classes.

At about 8:43 am (Nigerian time) I was already in class teaching them civic education. And I was teaching current affairs in Nigeria laying more emphasis on all the past presidents in Nigeria....
There is this small girl in my class called Bride (4 years old).

She raised up her right hand and said " Uncle. What does it means for one to be president?" I replied " well my dear. It really means a lot. It means you are the head, you have control over health, money, food, security, and everything (I explained just for her level: nursery 1). Having said that, she kept quiet as if that was all. I then continued with the lesson, but she again interrupted with a question. She said " Uncle, can I also be a president one day?". I replied "yes my dear. You just need to concentrate and study hard right now. One day sweetheart, you will be our president in this country (Nigeria)". She smiled and said "OK uncle"

Just before I say a word, again she said " if I become the president of Nigeria, quess what uncle?". I replied "what my dear?"...
She said " I will build a good house for John, I will buy new clothes for John, I will buy enough food for John, and I will take John to school and pay his school fees".... My word bank became bankrupt on hearing these words. But I asked Bride " who is John? ". She replied "a boy in my street... He lives close to our house. They don't have their own house, they don't have good clothes, they don't eat good food in their house, and his Daddy don't have money to take him to school".

Hmmmmmm..... I then replied " my dear, you don't have to wait till you become the president before you do that to John. You start now by sharing the little you have with John before the big one".
And she said "OK uncle. I will not eat my food today, I'll go and share it with John".
