Greetings steemians time without writing them. in this occasion I want to bring you a typical Venezuelan dish that I have already talked about, but they are delicious that I think it is necessary for more users to know them, so here is the way to prepare a fish cake better known as (CUAJAO).


Before showing you the recipe, I would like to tell you a little about "CUAJAO". The cuajao is as explained in the previous paragraph a fish cake that its bibliographic records date from 1776, in "Nueva Granada" Venezuela lived a friar named Antonio Caulín who recommended this food for the days of abstinence, and over time this food It was a tradition to eat the dish on Thursday and Friday of Easter.

242 years have passed since the date mentioned in the previous paragraph and the recipe has changed according to the area where it is prepared in the Venezuelan territory but the tradition continues, in holy week or Venezuelans began to gather the ingredients to make our Cuajao and Eat them on holy Thursday and holy Friday, since that day we can not eat meat.

The recipe I will show you is how I do it. (the oriental north style of Venezuela).

For the fish we will need
• 1 kg Tuna
• 1/2 Kg Onion
• 1/4 Kg Sweet Aji
• 4 Cloves of garlic
• Adobo to taste
• Oil to taste

  1. Place the fish in a holla with water and let it boil.
  2. Then we take it out of the pot and place it in another base with water to cool it.
  3. When it's cooled, crumble our fish
    4.1. What follows is Frying the onions in a pan over medium heat and stir the onion for a couple of minutes until golden brown.
    4.2. When changing color, add the ají and garlic cloves while stirring for 3 more minutes.

• 1 kg Potato.
• 2 Bananas .
• 10 Eggs.
• Flour.
• Oil.
• Prepared fish.

You must bear in mind that the oven is so hot that it is ready; If your oven is slow, I recommend that you turn it on for half an hour before turning it on.
  1. We take a tray, put oil and then expand the flour so that the tray does not stick
  2. Then we beat the eggs a lot.
  3. We cut potatoes and bananas
  4. I mixed all the ingredients and we keep shake
