Hello, fellow steemians and @ulog! How did all your weekend go by?

Well, for me, over the weekends, I've been wondering what @ulog really was because I've been busy as a bee these past few days and I knew I had to catch up with steemit. Good thing, last night, as I was browsing through my account, I came across Sir Terry's (@surpassinggoogle) post about his update here and I was able to join and listen to SteemGigs' discord live chat.

I stayed for an hour and a half and listened to Mr. Terry's words of wisdom and his explanation about him making an initiative to help other fellow steemians. I enjoyed the night mingling and interacting with other Steemit users and I really gained more knowledge about #ulog and the platform itself.

Below are some of the things I learned about it last night.

1. The "U" in #Ulog basically means "YOU". So, you will be the topic of your blog. As the tagline for #ulog goes, "You are a celebrity, we are your fans," means that like other celebrities do, they update about their lives through their social media and have their fans react to it. Radically, this idea is also manifested in Steemit and you will be the celebrity, while your followers are your fans. Who else doesn't want to feel being a celebrity right?

2. We can undeniably change the fact that sometimes, we, as steemians run out of things to post on Steemit but through #ulog, you can post how your day went by like that of a diary. You can share what you've been doing for the day to the rest of the steemians and make more connections or friends through it.

3. You do not need any cameras or videos like that of a vlog (video blog). You can merely write about yourself and what you did or just about anything in your post. Adding videos and pictures to it is just an added bonus or to make it more interesting. You only need yourself, your ideas and your account to post your own #ulog.

4. It's your moment to shine. YES! Now is your moment. It's your time to expose yourself more in this platform. As Mr. Terry emphasizes, 'The world and its toughness can deaden and relegate "our shine" into remoteness and forgotten-ness; by means of the steem blockchain (OUR ULOGS), we want to use each day, to recover some of "our shine" back.'

5. Let's set another trend for the rest of the world. By using #ulog more, we can surpass other trends that have been on the internet for long. We are pioneering members of Steemit and altogether, let's make history. Let's set another thing that will make other people what we are doing and encourage more people to join the platform.

Since I had to sleep early, even though it was already late, I logged out of my discord chat while it was still ongoing. I didn't want to cut it but I had to. I have learned much about something and it's always a good idea to share the same passion for the same people working for the same purpose. I salute Mr. Terry for being a great help and a leader to us all.

Before I end this short #ulog of mine, I just have to share this line I've heard from Mr. @surpassinggoogle which really struck me last night while they were talking about having to promote Steemit.

"NO ONE IS BETTER IN PROMOTING STEEMIT BUT YOU."
