#ULOG S2018E037 : Celebrating Chris' 5th Anniversary with Gemango
James had been food poisoned yesterday, he started throwing up, going to the CR and had a high fever. We ended up staying at home yesterday, I asked permission from my boss if I could and he agreed. But then, there was a setup surprise for our colleague, Chris who was celebrating his fifth anniversary with the company!
Our boss who's in Belgium want me to be there at the celebration so I had to go out and join them instead, my husband James had allowed me to and I am grateful that he was feeling better by three in the afternoon yesterday.
So I met with the team at a cafe named Fudge in Ayala Center, we ordered shakes and drinks. When everyone was attentive, I announced that the event was a surprise because Chris had just reached 5 years with the company and a surprise gift as well was given to him by the bosses.
He got surprised and was really happy to receive the gift which was an expensive watch!
He also did the honor of slicing the cake and shared it with everyone!
Then the horror of strong winds and rain came after, the entire Cebu City was drenched and there was even flooding in some areas. I was able to go home safe and sound though after a long time of waiting for a taxi.
All is well as I was able to get back home at seven in the evening, had dinner together with James and got back to work afterward.
Tuesday sickness, surprises, and rain were tough but all is well!
