ULOG: # 7 Wrote a Contest Post and Setting up My Blog
So I recently submitted an entry to the latest @originalworks contest. This time I had plenty to write about, and I had fun. I am excited to see how my submission will be judged as I have no idea. Either way, I enjoyed the process of entering the contest.
I recently was set up with a Wordpress blog from @vornix. Exciting times. I still plan on posting on Steemit often, but I am going to switch over to posting things on my WordPress blog and then use @steempress-io to post things here. I am still setting everything up how I want and stressing over making everything exactly how I want it.
I sometimes wonder where to focus on writing the most. Should I write content for my blog and Steemit? Should I continue to write for HubPages? Which soon is going to be sending me my next paycheck of about $70. That is not going to impress anybody but that is more money than I made writing anywhere else online and I make about $20 - $30 a month on HubPages.
I think for now I will focus on writing for my blog as I like the freedom to write and publish my own content. On HubPages, your work needs to be approved by editors to get any good SEO presence, and the task of pleasing these editors is hard. They want extremely good content. Plus they want longer form content that is about 1200 to 2000 words, and I want to post shorter things on Steemit and my blog.
Either way, I will still be writing, commenting, resteeming, and upvoting content on Steemit. I am being a tad more picky about votes though. I am trying to limit myself to giving so many votes a day so my voting power does not get very low. Not like a vote from me is going to move anybody anytime soon. I am trying to save up STEEM Power until I get to 100 at least.
