Important annual event that every Malaysian knows

It's that time of the year again, the period when we welcome from one of our neighbouring countries an export that is consumed by millions of Malaysian for weeks on end, if not months, every year - haze.

Every year, the hardworking plantation workers in that country would set their oil palm plantations on fire. Apparently this is the most efficient way the clear the plantations for the next batch of trees - if it worked for the cavepeople thousands of years ago, no reason it shouldn't work today amirite?

As we watch the Air Pollutant Index shoot through the roof, me, my wife and my 3 year old huddled up in a bedroom with an air ionizer. Thanks to the haze, we get to spend quality time together as a family!

Also also, since we wanted to avoid going outdoors, we stayed home for the weekend and that saved us money that would've otherwise be spent at the malls.

I can't thank the government of said country enough for giving us their best export for free. I hope that their own citizens can enjoy it as much as we did.
