Hi Steemians!

I am a father to four young men. My eldest is 26 years old already have his own family and currently working at one of the leading BPO company located in Alabang. My second to the eldest aged 23 years old , graduated last 2017 and currently starts to work in one of the leading manufacturing company in Laguna. My two youngest children are still studying aged 18 and 15, respectively.

It’s great to see raising four vibrant young men, whom I never imagined will grow up to be responsible and respectable citizens. I always dreamt of a good life for them that’s why together with my wife, we work hard to get them educated to help them find their place in this present society. We support them morally, emotionally, physically and spiritually; whatever dream they want to achieve.

Though sometimes they misunderstood me for being strict on them especially when they were going home late. I don’t tolerate misbehavior and laziness. I teach them household chores to train them to get ready for family life in the near future. I talk to them with a strong voice when needed to correct their mistakes. I make them realize that life is tough and they should always be ready to face the world when time comes. I tell them that I want to give them all the necessary tools to live a life that is righteous infront of God and humanity.

I always states that failures are not the end of every journey, it is the path through it. They need to pass through all hurdles to become successful in life they’ll chose. Parents can only laydown the foundation of every child’s path, but its them who will take those paths. They may experience turbulences but that will make them strong.

There are subtle ways to teach them, that they won’t see it as meddling with their lives. Apply constant reminder of right things to do and correct decision making. Constant communications are very vital in raising them. It will help them feel their not alone. Together we flatten out conflicts and misunderstandings. Most importantly, we need to lend an ear to HEAR them and a shoulder they can always cry on. We need to listen to them when they need to speak. They have ups and downs that we need to be there for them. Our presence in every situations matter.

Most of all, we bring our children near to God. The only righteous teaching that will help us mold our children is through the teaching from the Holy Scripture, The Bible. We want them to walk in the righteous path that our Lord Jesus Christ told us in his teachings. We want them to learn to care not only for their life on Earth but also for the life to come in eternity. We want to prepare them to the most important aspect of their life on Earth, to fear God and do good to all men.

May be our love for our kids is great but the love of God to everyone of us is greater and bigger. He is a father to Christ, He showed us how to love our children. God wants us to be with him in eternity to become our parent and our God.

The real love of a parent can’t be explained but felt!
