Regardless of our status in life whether poor or rich, brilliant or illiterate, faithful or lacking in faith we exude some kind of influence around us. Our abilities, talents, and God-given gifts allow us to affect other people's lives intentionally or otherwise. Like it or not, we somehow shape our surroundings by how we live our lives and how we interact with other people. Our actions can influence and trigger an idea or a movement that may change the community.

The words we speak are a powerful tool or weapon that may bring joy or pain to those who hear them. Spoken with love, the words we utter can comfort those who are grieving or suffering. Harshly spoken, even a mild-mannered person may react to hurtful words whether we mean them or not.

Jesus, while He was here on earth, made it a point to speak words that will bring comfort and healing. His miracles and healing spree were to give hope and life to those who received His healing power. His teachings influenced the whole world because they were giving light to a darkened path of faith and ignorant beliefs.

Our lives must be lived so as to give hope and lead others to the Truth. Our actions, words, yes even our thoughts must be a mirror of Jesus words and actions. Let our light so shine before men that they may see the good works that God the Father may be glorified. Let every action be an inspiration for others to see the Man on the cross. Let every word that come out of our mouths be a comfort and healing to those who suffer.
