MY ULOG #01: OFFICE GIST OF THE DAY

Hello uloggers ,trust your day went superb. As for me it was awesome!

Before I go further let me make a quick introduction of myself.
I am Christy, a student in the higher institution who is currently on internship here in akwa-Ibom state, Nigeria.

Today happen to be one of those days I woke up and didn’t feel like stepping out, but I had to say to myself

“Babe today na Monday o and you need to be in office ”.

I forced myself out of bed, prayed and did some chore and prepared for work.

9:00am :Office here I come.
My place of internship is an ICT firm made up of young and creative individuals.There are staff and interns. And when it comes gist, we flow well not minding if you are an intern or staff.

On getting to office, a staff ( David) and one of the intern (Joy) were already in office .
After few minutes Ante and Elvis came in.
The light comes up by 10am and this is past 9, so while waiting we exchanged pleasantry and one thing led to another and...

THE GIST

Joy: ''Ante please how do I block a caller from my line".

Ante told her what to do. She try and seem not to be getting it right. She asked Ante again for more guideline.

Me : " why will you want to block someone from your line."
Joy: ''There is this guy that is disturbing me o. I want to block his line on my phone".

Na so the babe gist us on how she met this warri guy on a social media platform few weeks back. They got talking ,exchanged contacts. And now the guy wants her to come visiting in Warri.

Joy: ''He is really pestering me and he's claims he loves me and wants to see me... , And that I should come to warri . And I told him fine that I’ll come during weekend that just past. He sent me T.fair ."

She tolds us she can’t take the risk of going that distance from uyo to warri to see a guy she just met on social media.

Ante: " Do you think blocking his line will solve the problem?"
David: " This is internet defrauding. So you too dey do yahoo? "

Everyone busted into laughter.

Joy: "The guy is even threatening me o. that do I think I can eat his money and get away with it."

Elvise: "You think is all men you can eat their money and get away with it ”
Joy: " what do you guys want me to do? I’m tire o. I even told him to send me his account number but he refuse and said it not like that that he loves me and want me to come over to warri".

Joy: "You self, why will you collect money from a guy for transportation when you know you won’t go ”.
Time up!
At the end of it all, we advice her not to block the guys line, rather she should send him a text message explaining why she couldn’t make it and still ask for his account detail to refund his money,Which she agreed to .

It’s after ten already. Light came up and everyone to your desk.
My day didn’t go bad at all!.
