ULog : When in Sumilon Island
Setting foot on another one of the many shifting sand bars in Cebu! Sumilon Island sand bar sets apart from the rest due to its density. It does not sink underwater thus visible and available for a sand-bar-fun, anytime all year round without having to check low tides and high tides.
The Island of Sumilon is located off the southeast coast of the Municipality of Oslob, Cebu, and is under the administration of Oslob. The island is about 125 kilometers from Cebu City and separated from the mainland by the Cebu Strait. It is also close to Dumaguete City in the nearby island province of Negros Oriental.
Like many other sand bars, it changes shape. This one however makes its shifting location interesting, depending on the month of the year.
When we arrived in the island at around 8am , the place was already packed with people . This place has already become a tourist attraction due to its sand bar , clear water and white, powdery sand.
And this is where our restless feed lead us.I loved the feel of the water, we are blessed with good weather. Everything is picturesque! We stayed here until the sand bar is out.
A trip to Sumilon Island is an activity you can add in your itinerary. Just take a multicab ride in going to the place where you will ride a small boat for Sumilon Island. You will reach Sumilon in about 10min.
