Since I want some privacy in my room, I decided to buy a window blind from a hardware store. My window has jalousie blades however, you can easily see through it since it is only coated with a brown tint. I had bought this window blind for ₱209 or approximately $4. I had picked the variant with the color ivory since it will compliment with my yellow painted room.

This are the contents inside the box. The window blind, the installation manual, screws and the window blind holder. However for the manual, I just felt bad since I cant understand anything from it because its published in a different language.

When fully opened up, this is how the blinds look like. Its dimensions are 24 inches wide and 48 inches in length. The size of this blind is just perfect for my window.

This is my window where the window blinds will be placed. As you can see, the jalousie's blades are clear enough that you can easily see through it.

First thing that I did was to place some markers in the wall where the window blind holders will be placed.

Then I made holes for the windows blind holder in which I will place screws to hold the window blind in the wall. In making the holes since I dont have a drill, I just used a nail and hammer so this is how it looked liked.

I failed miserably and now the holes are just big enough that created a crater in the wall.

So I made an idea of using a wood in which the window blind holders will be placed and the wood will be nailed in the wall, covering also the cracks or the crater that I made by mistake.

I measured 24 inches in the wood, then I cut it using a hacksaw.

Since the wood available is not that great, I need to sand it a bit to make its surface smooth.

After that, I placed the window blind holder and marked the holes so that I can place the screws in the correct place. Also this will maintain the balance between the two holders.

After installing the screws in both ends of the wood, I then placed the wood with the blind holder in the wall. After that, I used a hammer to secure it in the wall. This is how it looked like.

Then I placed the window blinds in the holder. This is how it looked like, however as you can see, the cover for the holder is not yet inserted.

Here, I already placed the cover for the blind holders to secure the window blind in place.

These are the tools that I used to install this window blind. As you can see, to make this installation possible, I used a measuring tape, hacksaw, a pen, a screwdriver and lastly a hammer.

To finally finish it, I placed its adjustment rod to enable me to adjust the angle of the blinds, then this is how my window looked like after installing the window blind. Now as you can see, I can finally have some privacy in my room since the see through jalousie blades are now blocked by the window blind.

Now I moved my PC back to the corner and this is how it looked like together with the window blinds. It greatly compliments with my computer setup. It was indeed a great experience for me since it is just my first time installing a window blind.
