The Pertamina (Persero) company has an integrated gas business by delivering PGN and Pertagas in a joint venture as Pertamina Group after the Holding was formed.
According to Pertamina's Director of Corporate Marketing, Basuki Trikora Putra, through integration in Pertamina Group, the company will take several strategic steps namely increasing domestic gas supply, increasing the effectiveness and sustainability of gas distribution, optimizing the utilization of existing infrastructure and then building in new areas and increasing capacity to invest. .
"At present, we are still in the early stages of integration, but we have seen that there is a huge opportunity for future value creation," he said on the sidelines of the Indonesian Gas Society 2018 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Pacific Place.
Some things that will be achieved are the potential for gas business growth of 7 to 9 percent over the next 5 years. The combined transmission volume is 2627 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) in all PGN and Pertagas networks.
"With this holding, our pipeline network will reach more than 9,600 Km, the longest pipeline in Southeast Asia," explained Basuki Trikora Putra.
Therefore, with its potential, Pertamina continues to consolidate and coordinate with stakeholders in the gas business through various forums. One of them is through the Indonesian Gas Society (IGS) annual forum. This forum aims to evaluate the strategies, problems, challenges and opportunities for gas business in Indonesia.
