#Ulog-1, Very interesting museum / historical building. A must visit if you are in Dresden.

Firstly, Dresden is incredible! There is just do much to see and experience and because it is not very big it is easy to get around.

Dresden Castle- I would advise seeing it over 2 days because there is just so much to take in you need a brain break! I did the 1 day and I will have to go back and redo to take in the amazing exhibits. All I can say is DO NOT miss. It is one of the most amazing museums I have ever been to and worthy every penny and more!

We paid to visit the New Green Room as we didn't have time to do both. The objects on display were breath taking. I've never seen so much wealth in one building. The audio guide was extremely informative and included in the price of a ticket. The armoury and other areas were well laid out. We spent around 2.5 hours there and we missed some parts. The main attraction of Dresden after the Frauenkirche. This magnificent castle complex houses three museums. If you don't want to pay up, you can still walk around the area for free while looking up in amazement at the unique architecture (it's somewhat larger than it looks). Very impressive collection of art, jewelry, the audio guide is very well organized, wondering thru the rooms you will appreciate the efforts put into restoration after 1990s. If you’re feeling energetic, do please walk the 222 steps into the viewing deck of the central tower, which is the oldest building of the castle, you’ll see Dresden in panorama. Highly recommended. You’ll need at least a half day to quickly walk thru the castle and the green vault.

I would recommend to visit the castle first, and only after that to go to Green Vault (which is definitely a must). If you go first Green Vault you might be a bit disappointed with the rest of the castle. However, there are 3 floors full of history and treasures that you will enjoy as well. This place is gorgeous and the views of Elbe River are simply beautiful. You can even see the new bridge that mad the cultural landscape loosing the World Heritage status. Despite this, the gardens, green areas and wine yards are very well integrated into the landscape. I really would like to come back to check the several activities carried on here.

We took a day tour from insider tour with a guide called roey Victoria. It was just amazing and Dresden is a place not to be missed. The museum was simply amazing. Make sure you avail audio guidance which will make it more enjoyable. You have a food street with Places to eat. Lovely shops. Historical castles with lots to see!!! A must visit place!! Tour takes 10 hours. From 9.00 am to 7.00 pm. We only visited the armor collection. Very impressive collection which is displayed in a manner which really shows how the armor was worn and worked.
